What began as one small studio has grown into a full-circle system of care for real people
with real concerns—from compromised skin to challenging foot conditions.
We’re Elizabeth and Maria Oloyede—sisters, co-founders, and the heart behind the Ethereal family of wellness:
Ethereal Wellness & Esthetics, Ethereal Medi-Pedi & Handcare, and Spaffective.
We opened our first location, Ethereal Wellness & Esthetics, with a focus on high-quality care for the hands, feet, and skin. From the start, we aimed to create more than just a spa—we wanted a space where results, education, and long-term wellness were prioritized.
As a licensed medical esthetician with a background in Molecular Bioscience and Biotechnology, Elizabeth brought a science-backed approach to skincare. Her treatments focus on rebuilding the skin’s integrity naturally, using advanced tools and active ingredients—no injectables, no shortcuts.
At the same time, we trained in traditional nail care. But Maria quickly realized that many clients needed more than cosmetic pedicures—they needed real help with issues like thickened nails, chronic calluses, cracked heels, and foot discomfort. She pursued advanced training and became a Certified Master Pedicurist (CMP) to provide a higher level of care for the feet.
The results were transformative. Clients left feeling confident, with healthier nails and smoother skin. But after a while, the same issues kept coming back.
That’s when Maria looked deeper—and discovered the real issue: footwear. Most people were wearing shoes that cramped their toes, disrupted alignment, and caused many of the very conditions we were trying to fix. That discovery led us to rethink how we support the full recovery of the foot.
In 2025, we opened our second location, Ethereal Medi-Pedi & Handcare, focused entirely on foot and nail care. This space offers advanced waterless pedicures and results-driven services tailored to clients dealing with complex or recurring foot issues.
Within this location, we launched Born to Splay—a natural footwear and movement store offering minimalist shoes and tools that promote proper alignment, foot strength, and mobility. It completes the circle of care by helping clients protect their results through better footwear and foot function.
We created Spaffective to give our clients easy access to the same products we use in-house. From medical-grade skin care and podiatry-formulated foot creams to clean, long-wear nail systems, every product is curated for effectiveness and safety. It’s our way of
helping you stay on track between visits.
